ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE!: Veteran and award-winning Chicago, St. Louis and Los Angeles stage actor and play director DARRYL MAXIMILIAN ROBINSON ( The Founder of The Excaliber Shakespeare Company of Chicago and The Excaliber Shakespeare Company Los Angeles Archival Project ) assumes the role of LORD JAQUES' from WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE'S "AS YOU LIKE IT" to present a new street theatre video rendition of "THE SEVEN AGES OF MAN" which was photographed, edited and video-recorded by GUSTAVO J. CASAS in The Historic Lincoln Heights Neighborhood of Los Angeles, CA.

Despite The Closing of Los Angeles Theatres and The Current COVID-19 Pandemic Crisis, In Honor of The Upcoming Birthday of The World's Greatest Playwright Master William Shakespeare, Veteran Stage Actor and Play Director Darryl Maximilian Robinson Has Recorded And Released A New Street Theatre Video Rendition of The Immortal Bard's "Seven Ages of Man" Speech From "As You Like It"!

Los Angeles - On Monday Afternoon March 23, 2020 Excaliber Shakespeare Company of Chicago and Excaliber Shakespeare Company Los Angeles Archival Project Founder Darryl Maximilian Robinson
was gazing about the historic, working-class neighborhood of  Lincoln Heights to find a suitable outdoor location to present and record a new "street theatre" rendition of the famed "Seven Ages of Man" speech unfolded by the melancholy and philosophic character of Lord Jaques in Act Two, Scene Seven of  William Shakespeare's classic, romantic comedy "As You Like It." And spotting a large, majestic tree off of a parking lot on Humboldt Street that reminded him of the Forest of Arden which is a major setting in The Immortal Bard's play, Mr. Robinson briefly discussed how he wanted the camera to move for the ESC Los Angeles Archival Project recording with his good friend, supporter, videographer and editor Gustavo J. Casas, and proceeded to deliver two takes of the classic speech ( one shot vertically, one shot horizontally ).

It is important to note that these recordings were done one month prior to the birthday of William Shakespeare and one week after all of the public theatres were closed to The General Public as a result of The COVID-19 Pandemic. At 12:00 am  Friday Morning March 27, 2020 Mr. Robinson released the first take ( the verticle shot ) on Youtube where fans and lovers of Shakespeare and The Theatre may freely view it! For 15 years ( between 1987 and 2001 ) Darryl Maximilian Robinson in his portrayal of His Most Revered Lordship, Sir Richard Drury Kemp-Kean in his original one-man show of Shakespeare and time-travel comedy "A Bit of the Bard" included Jaques' "Seven Ages of Man" Speech in his critically-praised solo work for dozens of touring performance engagements around the country.
