ESC'S DARRYL MAXIMILIAN ROBINSON ASSUMES THE ROLE OF THEATRE DON MAXIMILIANO FOR A 7TH AND FINAL TIME TO SALUTE MAYOR ZOHRAN MAMDANI AND THE MET IN IT'S PLAN TO GIVE 70,000 FREE OPERA TICKETS TO CITIZENS WHO HAVE NEVER SEEN AN OPERA ...AND TO BID A FOND FAREWELL!
Written, directed, recorded and performed by veteran stage actor, play director, theatre artist and Excaliber Shakespeare Company of Chicago and Excaliber Shakespeare Company Los Angeles Archival Project Founder, Artistic Director and Producer Darryl Maximilian Robinson in the role of Theatre Don Maximiliano on Thursday September 24, 2026 in The Theatre Don's private office in Los Angeles, this seventh and final entry in The September 2026 Theatre Don Maximiliano Video Series ( Co-created by veteran stage and screen actor and ESC Creative Team Member Danny Belrose ) finds Your Associate In The Arts praising New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani on his partnership with the revered Metropolitan Opera of New York to create a lottery which will give up to 70,000 Big Apple Residents in the next 6 months who have not had the financial means an opportunity to experience for FREE one of the highest forms of artistic entertainment there is: Classic Opera!
The Theatre Don even goes so far as to honor Mayor Mamdani as "The Mensch of The Year" for seeing the true and ultimate value art has to all human beings.
