ESC's Darryl Maximilian Robinson as Theatre Don Maximiliano Recommends A Visit To The DTLA Library!

ESC'S DARRYL MAXIMILIAN ROBINSON APPEARS FOR THE 3RD TIME AS THEATRE DON MAXIMILIANO, WHO CELEBRATES THE SCOTUS DECISION TO ALLOW MAIL-IN ELECTION BALLOTS, AND RECOMMENDS ACTORS, DIRECTORS AND WRITERS VISITING THE CENTRAL BRANCH OF THE LOS PUBLIC LIBRARY TO READ PLAYS FOR FREE UNTIL ...
Written and recorded and performed by Darryl Maximilian Robinson, The Founder, Artistic Director and Producer of The Excaliber Shakespeare Company of Chicago and The Excaliber Shakespeare Company Los Angeles Archival Project, on Wednesday September 16, 2026, this short, comedic monologue features Theatre Don Maximiliano on the balcony of his private residence in LA rejoicing at the news that The Supreme Court of The United States will not interfere with mail-in ballots, and that it is such a beautiful day in The City of Angels that artists with limited financial means should indulge their intellectual pursuits by perusing Free-To-Read plays and literary classics at the Downtown Central Branch of The Los Angeles Public Library at the intersection of 5th Street and Grand.
However, The Theatre Don's revelry is cut short when he notices a mysterious car with tinted windows pulling up to the front of his residence...and he has a "Donnie Cusamano" moment. And, keeping to his personal code, Theatre Don Maximiliano still does not reveal all.
This Excaliber Shakespeare Company Los Angeles Archival Project video marks the third appearance of Theatre Don Maximiliano this year.
Ciao.
