ESC Actors Darryl Maximilian Robinson and Danny Belrose Share A Labor Day Guitar Practice and Theatre Don Maximiliano Improv at Belrose Place!

ESC'S DARRYL MAXIMILIAN ROBINSON ASSUMES THE ROLE OF THEATRE DON MAXIMILIANO TO EXPLAIN TO ESC'S DANNY BELROSE SOME THINGS REGARDING THE MYSTERIOUS DONNIE CUSAMANO!
After enjoying a very satisfying Labor Day holiday meal with his long-time friend and professional colleague Danny Belrose at LA's Cypress Express restaurant, Excaliber Shakespeare Company of Chicago and Excaliber Shakespeare Company Los Angeles Archival Project Founder, Artistic Director and Producer Darryl Maximilian Robinson spent some time improvising his way into a new character creation: Theatre Don Maximiliano. And he comments on the elusive Donnie Cusamano!
Recorded and edited on Monday September 7, 2026 as a bit of Labor Day entertainment ( which also included a fine, lively and extended Guitar Practice) by longtime ESC Creative Team Member, photographer, videographer and fellow Chicago stage veteran Danny Belrose ( a 2000 Chicago Joseph Jefferson Citation Award Winner for Best Ensemble of A Play for his skilled performance in a cast of three performers in the acclaimed Trap Door Theatre production of "Lebensraum" ) in the quiet and comfortable confines of his LA residence Belrose Place, this short and comedic video featuring Darryl Maximilian Robinson ( noted for his honors of a 1997 Chicago Joseph Jefferson Citation Award for Outstanding Actor In A Principal Role In A Play his performance as Sam Semela in The ESC's revival of Athol Fugard's "Master Harold And The Boys" presented at the much-missed Heartland Cafe of Rogers Park and a 2019 Broadwayworld Chicago Award nomination for Best Performer In A Musical or Revue for his performance of the dual roles of The Chairman Mr. William Cartwright and The Mayor Thomas Sapsea in the 2018 Saint Sebastian Players of Chicago revival staging of Rupert Holmes' "The Mystery of Edwin Drood" staged at the more than a century old St. Bonaventure Church of the West Lakeview neighborhood of The Windy City ) is a unique departure from other ESC Video Theatre Offerings. It's simply fun stuff created from momentary mischief.
Darryl Maximilian Robinson has most recently received a 2022 Making The World Happening Award for his online theatre-related offerings and a 2024 Broadwayworld Los Angeles Award nomination for Best Supporting Performer In A Play for his performance as Chicago Tribune Newspaper Reporter Roy V. Bensinger in The Culver City Public Theatre revival production of Ben Hecht's and Charles MacArthur's "The Front Page" presented outdoors at Carlson Memorial Park.
The Theatre Don knows many things. But, due to his code, he is not allowed to reveal all.
Worth a peek.
SPECIAL NOTE: Stage and screen actor, singer and musician Danny Belrose's true life experiences are the focal point of skilled writer Tim Kinsella's intriguing new novel "Danny B." This fine literary work is available for purchase from Featherproof Books.
