Since their very first impromptu video theatre collaboration of a November 2017 "street theatre"-style rendition of Rudyard Kipling's inspirational poem "If" on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, California, Excaliber Shakespeare Company of Chicago and Excaliber Shakespeare Company Los Angeles Archival Project Founder Darryl Maximilian Robinson ( actor, adapter, director and producer ) and Excaliber Shakespeare Company Los Angeles Archival Project Creative Associate, the noted actor Danny Belrose ( editor, photographer and videographer ), have made a point to select interesting, intriguing, artistic and historic outdoor locations throughout The Greater Los Angeles Area to record new and lively versions of classic poems and acclaimed dramatic speeches.
Their most recent endeavor of The Immortal Bard's "This Fellow's of Exceeding Honesty" Speech, in which Darryl Maximilian Robinson shares a brief rendering of the title role in William Shakespeare's "Othello," may be of interest to not only fans of poetry and classic drama, but of historic paintings and architecture in Downtown Los Angeles.
Recorded Monday Afternoon November 10, 2025 on 3rd Street at the northeast side entrance of the famed Bradbury Building on Broadway ( which from its front entrance at the intersection sits directly across from the Silent Screen Age movie palace The Million Dollar Theatre, and from its side entrance faces a marvelous, massive and multiple-story tall mural painting of the late, great Oscar-winning and Tony Award-nominated Mexican-American stage and screen actor Anthony Quinn in his acclaimed and unforgettable role as "Zorba, the Greek" ) this new theatrical offering by Mr. Robinson and Mr. Belrose features two different takes of the "Othello" Speech and a preview video shot same day.
