ESC Team Member Tywayne Burns Wins The 2025 Excaliber Shakespeare Company Los Angeles Archival Project Friend of the Year Award!

ESC MEMBER TYWAYNE BURNS RECIEVES THE EXCALIBER SHAKESPEARE COMPANY LOS ANGELES ARCHIVAL PROJECT'S VERY FIRST FRIEND OF THE YEAR AWARD!
Theatre Lovers and Supporters,
Since the beginning of The Excaliber Shakespeare Company Los Angeles Archival Project in 2017, Your Humble Servant In The Theatre, Darryl Maximilian Robinson, Founder, Artistic Director and Producer of this small, multiracial theatre and video arts group has relied upon the assistance and technical support of an unpaid but hearty band of artists to help produce, videotape, photograph and edit our online theatre-related offerings. No fees or financial contributions of any kind are asked of audiences who can peruse our work which is designed to educate, enlighten and entertain at any time on YouTube and Facebook. And this results in mostly small budgets and modest presentations.
Deep Thanks and Gratitude is expressed and will be continued to be expressed by this theatre artist to ESC Members and Associates Danny Belrose, J. L. Watt, Eric Michael Hernandez, Alan Ochoa and Gustavo Casas for their fine artistic contributions to the ESC's work.
And so after 8 years of online offerings, this veteran and award-winning Theatre Founder has elected to bestow a personal, heartfelt honor to a member of The ESC Team.
Real Theatre Folks are willing to do disciplined and professional caliber work and give of their time, energy and talent - even when no financial incentive or tangible benefits or glory are offered. This has been the case for thousands of actors, designers and technicians in this country for years and whose desire to do interesting and quality endeavors trumps their need for compensation.
On Thursday September 25, 2025, ESC Team Member Tywayne Burns ( a talented aspiring young actor and internet content creator as well as native of Chicago new to Los Angeles ) provided videography and still photography for our new short video "Darryl Maximilian Robinson Gives The Bard's Sonnet #15 At Jimmy Kimmel Live On Hollywood Boulevard," in the early afternoon, but he performed the same duties for our new short video "ESC's Darryl Maximilian Robinson Notes The Home of The Oscars: The Dolby Theatre In Hollywood" by the end of the afternoon. Tywayne Burns is a individual with a bright future in The Performing Arts, displaying commitment and diligence.
It was therefore this 51-year-long Theatre Artist's privilege and pleasure during a fine and lively and truly enjoyable meal at Hollywood's historic Mel's Drive-In Diner just southeast of the intersection of Hollywood and Highland - during a lunch break between video shoots - to bestow upon Mr. Burns The 2025 Excaliber Shakespeare Company Los Angeles Archival Project "Friend Of The Year" Award. It is the very first of many this Theatre Founder intends to bestow in coming years.
