2024 Broadwayworld Los Angeles Award Nominee Darryl Maximilian Robinson of THE FRONT PAGE Notes Conclusion of Awards Voting Period!

A LOS ANGELES AREA THEATRE AWARDS VOTING PERIOD CONCLUDES!:
Theatre Lovers and Supporters,
Yesterday, December 31, 2024, New Year's Eve, was the final day of Voting for the 2024 Broadwayworld Los Angeles Awards.
Your humble servant in The Theatre, Darryl Maximilian Robinson, was thrilled to win a BWW LA Award nomination for Best Supporting Performer In A Play for his performance as Roy V. Bensinger in The Culver City Public Theatre 2024 revival production of Ben Hecht's and Charles MacArthur's THE FRONT PAGE, which received 8 nomination honors in total, including Best Direction of A Play ( for Trace Oakley ) and Best Play ( for The Culver City Public Theatre ).
Though none of THE FRONT PAGE nominees received enough online votes to win a prize, the entire cast, crew and production company were delighted and honored to take part in this city-wide and regional theatre awards competition.

ON THE WEST COAST, theatregoers have seen veteran and award-winning Chicago-born and stage-trained actor Darryl Maximilian Robinson appear in numerous roles onstage during his 14 years as a City of Angels thespian. He has garnered critical praise for his performances as Major-General Stanley in "The Pirates of Penzance," District Attorney Flint in "Night of January 16th," Booker T. Washington in "Ragtime," Butler John Lawless in "The Happiest Millionaire" and Henry Albertson in "The Fantasticks." But usually he has performed his work in small and intimate venues. In 1969, the versatile and skilled actor William Daniels became the first thespian on Broadway to decline a Tony Award nomination.
