Darryl Maximilian Robinson Provides A Public School Student's Sample Guide To American Slavery!

It is important to note that this commentary and editorial regarding the issue of Black American Human Slavery is the sole opinion of it's author. It is further significant to state that this is a short, non-expansive, list of items that may benefit an American Public School System Student of any race, ethnicity or financial status who may desire a starting point to begin their own personal research into the educational and societal issue of Black American Human Slavery. This written observation is one writer's suggestion of A STARTING POINT and nothing more.
If PRO-SLAVERY ADVOCATES Governor Ron De Satan and The Florida State Board of Education want Florida's public school students to believe that Black People benefitted from the greatest, most horrific, historically documented ATROCITIES COMMITTED AGAINST HUMAN BEINGS BY WHITE SUPREMACIST, RACIST MEN AND WOMEN ON THE AMERICAN CONTINENT, might I suggest that public school students in Florida begin to seek out their knowledge of African-American History in The United States from multiple other sources that are available online, at public libraries and at bookstores that are outside the control of the propaganda and lie proponents masquerading as honest providers of public school system education.
A recent speech by Vice President of The United States Kamala Harris in Jacksonville, Florida addressed this educational issue.
To have some idea of the "benefits" ( including lifelong rape and sexual assault, brutal beatings and torture, no wages, no medical care, no freedoms of any kind, no privacy of any kind, no proper or formal education of any kind, sub-standard housing, food and clothing, relentless and merciless family separations as relatives were being sold, no basic human rights of any kind, and instant murder on a whim by one's Slave Owners because SLAVES WERE NOT TREATED AS PEOPLE, THEY WERE TREATED AS PROPERTY! ) that Black People received during the time of their enslavement, start with a novel by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Alex Haley called "Roots," then view the multiple 1977 Emmy Award-winning ABC Television Miniseries of "Roots" ( unforgettably highlighted in the first episode by a truly heartwrenching performance by young and gifted performer and Emmy Award nominee for Best Actor In A Single Appearance LeVar Burton as Kunte Kinte ).
Both the novel and the television miniseries will certainly give all Florida public school students some serious insight regarding THE REAL TREATMENT BLACK AMERICANS RECEIVED DURING THE TIME OF SLAVERY IN THIS COUNTRY! AND THIS MISTREATMENT BY WHITE SUPREMACIST AMERICANS UPON IT'S POPULATION OF BLACK CITIZENS CONTINUED WELL PAST THE TIME OF BLACK AMERICAN HUMAN SLAVERY. THIS MISTREATMENT HAS LASTED 400 YEARS!
BUT PURELY HISTORICALLY SPEAKING, DURING THE MULTIPLE CENTURIES OF AMERICAN HUMAN SLAVERY, BLACK PEOPLE WERE TREATED AS CHATTEL PROPERTY. THEY WERE TREATED LIKE ANIMALS!
And for actually defined, factual education from Black Americans in their own words regarding their experiences in Slavery read: "Up From Slavery" by noted educator and Presidential adviser Booker T. Washington ( who never lived in Florida ) and "The Narrative of The Life of Frederick Douglass," by an acclaimed, abolitionist author who spent his lifetime fighting the evils and degradation of Slavery.
These were two great African-American orators and writers who excelled and succeeded only after leaving behind THE SHACKLES OF SLAVERY.
THEY DID NOT BENEFIT BECAUSE OF IT!
And additional insight on the real-life horrors of The Black American Slave Experience in this country can also be garnered in both the book and television series renditions of Pulitzer Prize-winning author / commentator Nikole Hannah-Jones' powerful work "The 1619 Project."
Slavery, Lynchings and Jim Crow Laws were beyond unjust, barbaric and destructive to Black People everywhere. CONDONED WHITE RACISM AND DOMESTIC TERRORISM WAS AMERICA'S MOST EVIL ACT! IT WAS AMERICA'S ORIGINAL SIN AS A NATION BECAUSE IT MADE THE DEHUMANIZING OF OTHER HUMAN BEINGS LEGAL!
And it was these evil practices and traditions of racial hatred which led to the way many members of Law Enforcement ( WHO WERE THE ORIGINAL SLAVE CATCHERS! ) and The Criminal Justice System racially profile, stereotype and mistreat Modern Black American Taxpaying Citizens today!
And no ANTI-WOKE Law ( signed by a fascist, racist, authoritarian bully ) is going to prevent the real, unvarnished, UNWHITEWASHED TRUTH ABOUT THE HISTORY AND EVILS OF SLAVERY IN THIS COUNTRY FROM BEING TOLD AND SHARED BY ONE GENERATION OF BLACK AMERICANS TO ANOTHER GENERATION OF YOUNG PEOPLE OF ALL RACES REGARDLESS OF WHETHER IT HAPPENS IN A PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM CLASSROOM OR NOT!
NO MATTER WHAT GOVERNOR RON DE SATAN AND HIS UNWORTHY FLORIDA STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION IS TRYING TO SELL TO PUBLIC SCHOOL STUDENTS IN FLORIDA...
SLAVERY DID NOT BENEFIT BLACK PEOPLE!
FURTHER ITEMS TO PERUSE REGARDING THE HISTORY OF AMERICAN HUMAN SLAVERY!
Some very sad, but essential, suggested reading for those interested in an honest telling of African-American History in the United States.
