Darryl Maximilian Robinson As The Chairman Mr. William Cartwright of The Music Hall Royale In "The Mystery of Edwin Drood" Encourages You To VOTE DEMOCRAT!
DAMNED, BUT THERE YOU ARE!
Exactly four years ago this month, Darryl Maximilian Robinson had one of the great personal successes of his 48-year-long stage career when he played the marvelous dual roles of The Chairman Mr. William Cartwright and Mayor Thomas Sapsea in gifted Director / Music Director Robert-Eric West's 2018 Saint Sebastian Players of Chicago revival of Rupert Holmes' Tony Award-winning Best Musical Whodunit "The Mystery of Edwin Drood" onstage at the more than a century old St Bonaventure Church in the west Lakeview neighborhood of The Windy City.
And like his gifted and talented co-star Sarah Myers, who delighted with both her singing and acting in her dual roles of Edwin Drood and Miss Alice Nutting, Darryl Maximilian Robinson received a 2019 Broadwayworld Chicago Award nomination for Best Performer In A Musical or Revue ( Resident Non-Equity ) for his critically-praised performance in this show.
One of the many great joys of his role of The Chairman Mr. William Cartwright of The Music Hall Royale was not just introducing the live audiences to the world of this comic and musical adaptation of Charles Dickens' final novel, but also to encourage the audience TO VOTE ON WHODUNIT, as Dickens passed away before he completed this literary work.
Now, in 2022, Darryl Maximilian Robinson as The Chairman Mr. William Cartwright of The Music Hall Royale again encourages THE PUBLIC TO VOTE...AND TO VOTE DEMOCRAT!
And VOTE Like The Future Of THE DEMOCRACY OF AN ENTIRE NATION DEPENDS UPON IT!
